The European Agency for Communicable Disease Control (ECDC) prepares weekly data bases for European countries. Essentially, this is the basis for weekly reports such as NIPH executions. It would require extensive resources if similar data were to be obtained for countries outside the EU. On the basis of this, the government has decided that weekly assessments must be made of the EEA / Schengen countries and the United Kingdom.
