Mortality, insufficiency, R(t) and positivity with increasing trend in Portugal
Some indicators of the evolution of the pandemic, such as mortality and positivity, R(presentation) growing report in Portugal, reveals with the monitoring of the lines released Friday by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) and the Dr. Ricardo Jorge Institute (INSA) .
The specific mortality for covid-19 is now 37.6 deaths in 14 days per one million inhabitants, a value that “corresponds to a classification of the impact of the pandemic as high”.
“On January 19, 2022, specific mortality from COVID-19 recorded a value of 37.6 deaths in 14 days per 1,000,000 inhabitants, which corresponds to an increase of 47% compared to the last report”, indicates the document.
Also growing is the number of new cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants, accumulated in the last 14 days, which was 5053 cases. In the age group aged 65 and over, the probability was 1764 cases.
