Fourteenth year festivities at the National Agricultural Museum promises the atmosphere of an old Czech slaughterhouse. Between 10 am and 5 pm you can taste pork specialties, see the butcher’s work (11:00, 13:00, 15:00) or take part in wood carving workshops or carnival masks. The musical accompaniment will be provided by the Řeznická band, which will perform at 11:30 and 13:30. In the gastrostudio you can also take a full-day course in home-brewed beer. You simply won’t be hungry and thirsty.

Head north, at least to the movie, SCANDI Festival it lasts all week and offers the most interesting films from Scandinavian cinema. It will be screened in several Prague cinemas – Edison Filmhub, Lucerna, Atlas, Evald, MAT, Petrohradská, Humanita, and it will also be possible to watch some films online. The whole festival features a film Margrete – Queen of the North. In 1402, the queen achieved what no man had yet succeeded in doing. It united Denmark, Norway and Sweden into a peace-oriented union. Another unusual film is the expensive award-winning film Run. The creators combine animation, documentary and feature film in it. The comedy Divoch, for example, is said to be a guaranteed audience hit.
Czech Press Photo 2021

Exhibition Czech Press Photo 2021 in the western hall of the National Museum, they will present the winning competitions supplemented by a collection of selected key moments of the 27th year, together with an exhibition of foreign jurors and the Mayor’s Grant. The thematic was definitely dominated by a tornado that hit South Moravia, the Olympic Games, crosses in the Old Town Square and also anti-vaccination demonstrations, which were attended by football hooligans. You will see the highest quality images that represent the last twelve months.
Prague Zoo – Day in the gorillas AND annotated feeding and encounters with animals

This year marks exactly fifty years since the oldest member of the Prague lowland gorilla group, the female Kamba, was born in the Cameroonian rainforests. Her future life is a sad example of the dangers these primates face. “Kamba was born in the wild in 1972, her parents killed poachers when she was about two years old. After that, she gradually lived in several zoos, but after a decade she was no longer allowed to get to know a functional gorilla group. Bobek. In the winter, on weekends and holidays, the Zoo organizes regular guided feeds and meetings with animals. You can catch up with the holidays when you learn a lot of interesting things from their lives. Penguins always receive their rations at 11:00, there is a meeting with forest dogs at 12:00, and in good weather you can move to the elephants at 13:30. Look at the whole schedule.
