MINSK, February 20 – Sputnik. The constitutional referendum in Belarus will take place on Sunday, February 27, the press service of the head of state reports.

The corresponding decree was signed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday, January 20.

According to the press service, the document defines the wording of the question submitted to the referendum, which will be in the ballot: “Do you accept amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus?”

In addition, in the specified order, amendments and additions to the Basic Law of the country submitted for popular vote.

Amendments to the Basic Law

Earlier, Lukashenka said that the constitutional referendum of Belarus would be held on the 20th of February 2022.
