Local residents shot at home in Amsterdam-North demand action from the municipality: “This is terrifying”
A house on the Oossaander Hoop in Amsterdam-North was shot at for the second time in one week last night. The residents of the Kadoelen residential area are shocked and want the municipality to intervene. “With a police station the time, if only to deter.”
The house was shot at around 3:30 am. A bullet went through the window. Four days before, the window next door was also hit by bullets. Nobody got hit.

Living with families on the Oossaander Hoop. That makes it even scarier, says a local resident. “We have three houses in the street without children. One or more children live in the rest. It is terrifying for everyone.” Another local resident no longer feels at ease in the street. “It’s a nice neighborhood, there is almost never anything going on. But that this is happening in your own street now, it comes really close.”

“The municipality and the police must intervene. Ready.” That’s what a neighbor says. He would prefer a police station in the street, “if only to deter.”
The municipality was not yet able to say anything about the related measures. Police are investigating the shooting incidents.
