Europa Verde Siena: “Biotecnopolo Foundation of Siena an opportunity for everyone only if there is a pact for quality employment”
“We are very satisfied with the establishment of the scientific structure linked to the industrial history of our territory. But we are also very worried because we see the risk of finding ourselves with the usual structure that benefits from macro public funding, but with scarce employment opportunities “. Thus a note from Europa Verde Siena, signed by David Poggialini and Ginevra La Russa.
“A risk not unrelated to the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry operating in the area, which has never limited itself to the use (often also abuse) of temporary and temporary contracts, and continuous turnover especially between researchers and operators – again Europa Verde – For this reason we think that the whole district project must be bound to a pact for work with local roots and contextualization. Based on the model already adopted in many German regions, where the European Greens have promoted territorial industrial agreements linked to medium and long-term employment guarantees. A signal in this direction should also come from the companies in our area, reducing the share of temporary and temporary operators already by 50%, and using staff leasing contracts to stabilize employees and researchers hired in this way. We will bring this issue to the attention of the center-left not only on a local basis but above all on a national basis ”.
