Coronavirus in Greece: 18,869 new cases and 81 deaths in 24 hours – 688 survivors
The new cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours in the country amount to 18,869.
According to the announcement of EODY, the 70 cases were identified after checks at the entrance gates of the country.
The total number of cases amounts to 1,742,363 (daily change + 1.1%), of which 49.8% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 446 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,489 are related to an already known case.
At the same time, the new deaths with COVID-19 are 81, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 22,366 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had underlying meaning and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated intubated is 688 (58.4% men) with a mean age of 66 years. 80.8% have underlying meaning and / or age 70 years and over.
Among intubated patients, 558 (81.1%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 130 (18.9%) are fully vaccinated.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,945 patients have left the ICU, while the number of new Covid-19 patients admitted to the country’s hospitals is 506 (daily change -8.5%).
Finally, the average seven-day admission is 526 patients while the median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), and the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
