“Cannibal of the Pyrenees” escaped in Toulouse: what we know about the savage aggression of the septuagenarian
A woman who was walking her dog on Wednesday January 19 in Toulouse was violently attacked with a stick in the heart of the city center. The man punched her in the head and arms before being overpowered by witnesses. He was the “cannibal of the Pyrenees” who had escaped a few hours earlier from the Marchant psychiatric hospital where he was interned after killing a man and eating his heart and tongue.

After long seconds, the man is under control. Warned, two crews from the BAC arrive on site, as do the firefighters and then the Samu. So far unmanageable, Jérémy Rimbaud offers no resistance to his arrest. The police realize it at the central police station where he is placed in police custody. Françoise, she can no longer move her arms but manages to recount her attack before being transported to the hospital.
