We also have ski slopes. See where you can ski around Prague Company News Pražská Drbna
After almost spring New Year’s Eve, it looks like winter has returned to the Czech Republic. If you still want to really enjoy the snow and frost, there is no better place than a ski slope. We have prepared an overview of ski resorts that you can get to from Prague in a short time.
After working on skis to Chotouně
The nearest ski slope is located twenty minutes outside of Prague, in the village of Chotouň. It is located about a kilometer from Jílové near Prague and is ideal for afternoon skiing with children. The area offers two poms, one faster and one slower. Little beginners can use the children’s moving carpet on the practice piste or ski and snowboard school.
There is currently 60 to 80 centimeters of snow in Chotoun and all three lifts are in operation. The ski resort has an online webcam through which you can check the weather and the number of skiers before heading to Chotoun. It is open until nine o’clock in the evening, so you can go skiing after work. The popularity of Chotoun is also evidenced by the fact that the operators expanded their car park this year.
Skiing on Gallows Hill
another area behind Prague is the Mnichovice Ski Resort. You are located in the Lad region, near Hrusice, where the famous painter and writer was born. Lada’s legacy is also evident in the ski resort – the lifts are called Mikeš, Bobeš and Pašík. Mikeš is a lift for the little ones, it is a 100-meter children’s rope. Bobeš and Pašík are on the two slopes of the same ski slope. You can usually even have fun in the Pašík area, but it is not open yet. Waiting for natural snow.
Currently, there is about 80 cm of snow on the piste. The area is open until 7 pm on weekdays, until 9 am on Saturdays and until 5 pm on Sundays. Exact times are always available on the site as well as the webcam.
The largest Central Bohemian complex
There is even a chair lift in the Monínec ski area. The ski slope is in the district of Příbram and is the largest ski resort in the Central Bohemian Region. The main ski slope is 1.2 kilometers long. The area also includes two ski parks with a ski school for children and adults.
There is currently 75 centimeters of snow in Monínec, skiing along the entire length of the piste. The lift runs from nine to nine o’clock with a break between 4 pm and 6 pm.
Slope in estate of Vítek z Prčice
A little further on, but still within reach, is the Kvasejovice ski resort. It is the second largest ski resort in the Central Bohemian Region after Monínec. I offer two poms in the length of 500 and 250 meters, if there is still a children’s lift. The complex is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm.
In Kvasejovice, he currently skis almost the entire length of the piste. The height of the snow is between 20 and 50 cm.
On skis to neighboring region
If the Central Bohemian offer of ski slopes is not enough for you, you can go to Liberec, for example. The journey from Prague takes an hour and there is a certainty of snow on Ještěd. You can ski here on 10.5 kilometers of slopes, where you will be taken by one of the three chair lifts or five lifts.
There is now up to 45 centimeters of snow in Ještěd, there is currently one seat and two children’s lifts in operation.
They don’t ride in Nižbor anymore, they didn’t want a local ski slope near Zdejcina
Not far from Beroun, the Nižbor ski resort used to operate. It offered a 200-meter anchor and a ski slope with an elevation gain of 55 meters. However, it is currently out of order.
The establishment of a ski slope in the Beroun region was also considered between the Beroun part of Zdejcina and the village of Hýskov. However, the design was never implemented because the site is located in a protected landscape area. In addition, the inhabitants of Zdejcin did not agree with the proposal. It is the smallest in the area and the amount of precipitation from all over Beroun, so there would always have to be only artificial snow on the piste.
