ROME – From the field of EurAfrica and those of Rome. Everything has happened in the last year yy Felix Afena-Gyan which today celebrates 19 years. Everything in the positive, of course. His dreams are fulfilled, his life changed completely when he moved to Italy thanks to Rome who welcomed him as a son and to a prosecutor who discovered him on the fields of Ghana.

Felix, born on January 19, 2003 in the Sunyani District, he did not have a very simple childhood, but thanks to his and his mother’s sacrifices he managed to fulfill his dream of playing in Italy. As a child Felix played football in his school, was the team captain until the regional selections, always being supported by his mother. So much so that one day she did everything to make him emerge, trying to join the most important team in Ghana, Asante Kotoko. Nothing to do, the club did not have a youth sector and sent it back home.

Felix has not lost hope, ed he left the field of his school. It was there that a recruiter from EurAfrica brought him – along with another friend of his – A.D Accra, capital of Ghana, where the Eur Africa Academy operates, prestigious academy that tries to find the most promising African players. After a few months it was noticed by an excellent prosecutor like Olivier Arthur who is always looking for young talents to bring to European football. He also succeeded with Felix: he left with him for Italy, he reported him to several teams but the first audition was at Roma. That he didn’t let it slip away.

Felix has landed in the capital on January 31, but only in March was he registered for bureaucratic reasons. First stage the Roma Under 18: seven games and five goals. Too strong to remain in the category, so the jump to the Primavera where he did not disfigure: 14 appearances at the end of the season, 4 goals and 2 assists. Even better at the start of this season, with five games and six goals. Too strong even to train with Primvera.

Mourinho brought him to the first team for training, in a short time he understood all his potential and in October came his debut against Cagliari. An excellent half hour of play in the comeback victory of the Giallorossi. Then a time with Milan and those fifteen minutes of fire against Genoa in Marassi where he decided the match with a brace. Felilx, needless to say, never went down again in the Spring: Mourinho wanted him fixed with the greats and with him has established a good feeling. Felix has climbed the hierarchy, now he is deputy Abraham but also a useful element for the left wing. In less than a year his life has changed thanks to sacrifice and hard work: now Felix doesn’t want to stop anymore.
