In Russia, the real number of those who were infected with COVID-19 is at least six times the case of the data registry due to unofficially ill. This was stated by a specialist in especially dangerous infections, an immunologist, doctor of medical sciences Vladislav Zhemchugov, he is quoted by TASS.

By data headquarters on January 18, the total number of cases in Russia for the entire period of the pandemic is 10,865,512 people.

“From official sources it sounds that herd immunity is only vaccinated. those who have been ill should be included here, including in an implicit form, not included in the reporting,” he considers guaranteed.

In his opinion, such an approach to calculating the share of herd immunity in the country will help to objectively plan anti-epidemic measures and scale up COVID-19 vaccines in Russian regions.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that in Russia, COVID-certificates are being issued unofficially to those who have been ill when they take an antibody test. Those who did not take the test when they were sick receive a covid certificate for six months, those who passed – for a year.
