CoV infected people should receive their isolation notice faster from Friday via a specially set up online platform, says the head of central CoV management, Peter Schinnerl. Many sick people have to wait a long time for the decision, but need it for the employer.
The problem: the contact tracers, who are responsible for issuing the isolation notices, can no longer keep up in view of the increasing number of infections. A new system should remedy the situation from Friday.
Data entry of the infected saves the authority time
“We worked out a solution with the state IT department. With the first SMS notification that someone has tested positive, you will probably immediately receive a request to enter your data on an online platform. This saves a lot of time and work in official processing. We can then issue the notification right away,” says the head of central CoV management, Peter Schinnerl.
“Several security measures for data protection”
“A TAN code is also sent in the SMS, and you also have to enter your date of birth. This should prevent misuse as much as possible,” says Schinnerl.
Send test result to employer
Until then, the spokesman for the state, Franz Wieser, recommends that those affected first send the test proof of the positive coronavirus test result to the employer and later submit the separation notice. In any case, the authorities recognized you as an infected person immediately after the positive test result.
contact contacts themselves
Possible contact persons could no longer be determined. Here the infected would have to help themselves and inform their contacts, emphasizes Wieser.
