Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) from February 11 opens regular flights with the Murmansk region. This is stated in O carrier. Flights at the Khibiny airport are carried out from St. Petersburg four times a week – on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Airport “Khibiny” is located in the very center of the Kola Peninsula, not far from the cities of Apatity and Kirovsk, and also at a distance of no more than 100 km from most cities of the Murmansk region. Thus, routes from St. Petersburg will be convenient for most residents of this region, especially part of it.
The highest ski resort in the North-West of Russia “Bolshoy Vudyavr” is located in the Murmansk region. It is located in the massif of the southern outskirts of the Khibiny mountain range, in the area of the Kola Peninsula, and due to this geographical location in a special climate, this resort is one of the oldest in Russia and attracts tourists and snowboarders from all over the country. The skiing season here is one of the longest in Russia: it starts at the end of November and ends at the end of May, although the snow on the slopes continues to lie almost until the end of June.
