MOB: Two are running for president
The previous president, Krisztián Kulcsár, who was elected on 2 May 2017 and confirmed in June 2020, did not receive the majority of supporters in a vote of confidence at the general meeting on 30 December, and then resigned with effect on 31 January.
The MOB presidency then convened the presidential election assembly on January 29 at its first meeting this year, scheduled for January 12th. The call for applications, the rules of the presidential election and the invitation to the general meeting were published on 13 January, and Krisztián Kulcsár stated that he would not run for the presidency that day.
Wednesday’s announcement reminds him that regular members of the board have applied to chair. The membership is currently 57 people. According to the articles of association, applications had to be submitted to the MOB’s office before the general meeting and addressed to the secretary general, in this case Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The election shall be by secret ballot. The candidate who receives the “yes” vote of more than half of the MOB members present at the General Meeting is elected. The term of office of the President shall run from February 1, 2022, to the date of the 2024 Renewal Assembly.
The new president of the MOB will be able to see his job from February 1st.
