At the Prales ecocentre, we have the necessary equipment and we know how to do it. We have prepared for you other handicraft workshop dates – working with wood, leather, wool and other natural materials until Easter.

Carvers can create beautiful objects from a piece of soft wood, and we can also try something like that. We will lend you their tools and under professional supervision you will try to make your first wooden bowl.

8. 2. Felting
Felting is a traditional technique for processing sheep wool, in which the individual wool fibers of the mechanics are intertwined and strengthened. Beautiful jewelry or other decorative and functional items can be made from sheep fleece in a wet or dry way. This time we will focus only on the method of so-called dry felting and together we will make colorful fairies, elves and other woolen decorations.

15. 2. Production of leather belts
Working with leather is another traditional craft that you can try with us. We will first show you how the bag makers do it, then we will introduce you and teach you how to work with the necessary tools and reveal the tricks during processing, and finally you will make a beautiful leather belt yourself.

22. 2. Beaded animals
What do you make your favorite pet from beads? It boasts colors and sizes, so an animal pendant on the neck or on the keys, for example in the shape of a cute lizard, octopus or other favorite animal, will not be a big problem. You need patience and a little skill to do this, and at the beginning some good advice so that you don’t bother too much about it yourself. Then the result is guaranteed.

22. 2. Production of birdhouses
Would you like to get more bird neighbors to your garden? It is not impossible. Prepare them a booth that they simply cannot resist and in which they will bring out their young in the spring. At the turn of February and March, there is still a suitable period for placing a replacement bird dwelling in the treetops, and then bird courtship can begin. We will introduce you to the most common bird tenants and you will make your own booth from the prepared semi-finished products. But because it is a more permanent dwelling, we will also teach you how to take care of it in the years to come.

Without insects, there would be no life on Earth – everyone knows that. But even so, the number of insect speeds decreases every year. But there are plenty of ways to help these invertebrates – and insect hotels are one of them. They will not only decorate our garden or balcony, but above all they will provide many useful insect species with space for laying eggs and developing larvae. They will reward you not only by pollinating the flowers, but also by fighting pests. Make a block of flats with us. Maybe thanks to him you will attract some other animal neighbors to your garden.

22. 3. Easter creation
Easter is just around the corner and it’s high time to get ready for it. Do you want to make an Easter wreath, spring seeds or painted eggs? It will be a toy with us.
We ask the participants to make blown eggshells for the production, we will prepare other needs for you.
