A major fire destroyed the operator’s premises in Colomiers. With this disaster which, fortunately, caused no injuries, Indigo Weel notably lost its stock of lithium batteries.
Indigo Weel will start a customer refund campaign in Toulouse
In his email, the operator wants to be reassuring towards customers who have purchased credits to use his services: “we will open in a few weeks an automated reimbursement campaign for provisioned accounts”.
The withdrawal of Indigo Weel is more difficult for employees. They should be reclassified in the workforce of Indigo in Toulouse or in the ranks of new operators who could settle following his departure.
Indigo Weel thus puts an end to a service that will have lasted three years. Some 500 bicycles and 600 scooters were in service in the Pink City. They were used by about 30,000 people.
While waiting for a new operator, users can fall back on the VéloToulouse service offered by JCDecaux and the town hall of Toulouse. The latter also offers self-service bicycles, which must however be picked up and dropped off at a dedicated station.
