The deputies noted that the sale of vapes in the country is explained. According to them, in 2020, in electronic nicotine delivery systems, taking into account the tobacco fiber heating system, about 47 million rubles, and the volume of the illegal market in Runet is 6.5 million rubles. Parliamentarians fear that by next year the turnover of funds may increase five times.
In Russia, vapes are allowed to be sold only in specialized stores. The authors believe that these products are becoming “a sort of loophole” in the world of nicotine addiction, especially for young people using “fashionable electronic gadget designs.”
