PISA

Dear-bus, the Municipality calls “But Autolinee does not answer”

Dringoli on the ticket for the coast: 80 thousand euros ready, the manager awaits the response of his lawyers

Francesco Loi

January 19, 2022

PISA. “Insist on finding a solution to a paradoxical situation.” The case of the expensive bus tickets from Pisa to the coast (and vice versa) comes to the city council. Where the councilor for mobility Massimo Dringoli srona Autolinee Toscane to a relationship that is struggling to establish. “And that take too long to answer.”

A question time presented by Giulia Gambini (Brothers of Italy). “Having acknowledged the commitment and availability immediately shown by the Municipality of Pisa for the maintenance of the rates applied by the previous manager, as confirmed by the allocation of the sum of 80 thousand euros for the agreement”, reads the deed. And having noted “the serious inconvenience and costs – he continues – borne by citizens due to the increase in the cost of tariffs, the mayor and the council are asked what actions have been taken and are planned to eliminate the burden of costs of tariffs applied to urban sections of the Pisan coast at the expense of citizens and families ».

The current situation, strongly denounced in recent days by the residents on the coast and with them by the economic categories, provides for those who must reach any of the Pisa tickets, the purchase of an extra-urban ticket for 2.60 euros (to get up to in the city center) and an urban one at 1.50 (to move from the center to the suburbs). Same figures, of course, for the return trip. Total: € 8.20. Until a few months ago you spend less than half: a single 2 euro ticket that allowed you to reach Pisa center and then move around the city with the same ticket (at least within a certain time slot).

«The relationship between the Municipality and the Autolinee Toscane manager – said Dringoli – provides for the definition of special agreements which are in the process of being resolved. Some are even already resolved. For example, thanks also to the intercession of the previous manager, Ctt Nord, the agreement for municipal employees operating from February 1st. The other conventions of employees of the university, the Scuola Sant’Anna and the Scuola Normale are state delegates to individual contractors “.

As for the convention relating to the coast “it is – added the commissioner – an agreement established and a tariff to be found ad hoc. Tariff, according to the Autolinee Toscane technicians, the new free service contract, according to the new free service contract. Then, at the request of the Municipality, Autolinee reserved the right to answer. But first he has to question his lawyers. At the moment we have not received any communications in this regard ».

“We must also add – says Dringoli – that the Region has declared that the stipulation of the agreement is strictly part of the relations between the Municipalities and the winner of the single lot tender, remaining out of negotiation”. The point, for the commissioner, «is that relations with the new manager are particularly long in reaction and response times. And the lack of streamlined communications compared to the previous manager. On the other hand, this is the manager and we can only take note of this. Moreover, we are faced with a paradoxical situation, with the Municipality that has declared itself willing to dare 80 thousand lire. Autolinee Toscane tells us that until he has the response of the lawyers he does not know how to collect these sums. We cannot help but insist on reaching a solution ».
