The Netherlands donated about 1.5 million euros of protection and disinfectant equipment against COVID-19 to the Republic of Moldova
The Republic of Moldova received a batch of protective equipment and disinfectant against COVID-19 donated by the Dutch Government worth over 2.5 million euros, with the support of the Charity Foundation “Max makes it possible”. Specifically, the lot includes over 62 thousand pairs of glasses, 62 thousand liters of disinfectant, over 571 thousand protective suits, 586 thousand pairs of gloves, 585 thousand simple masks and as many respirators.
The equipment will be distributed in all republican, municipal, district hospitals and health centers, public health centers, as well as in placement centers in the country.
Collection, transportation and storage costs were covered by the “Max makes it possible” charity in the Netherlands. Thus, with a greeting message came the president of this organization, Jan Slagter, who visited our country for this purpose.
Since 2008, the charity foundation “Max makes it possible” has made donations to medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova worth about 14 million euros. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 390,742 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in our country. To date, 999,493 people have completed the full vaccination schedule.
