the Holberton School opens in Toulouse, to train computer coding pros
There is work, with internet. It’s not new, but it’s even more true with the health crisis: everyone wants their online store, or their app. Companies or communities, everyone wants to be able to communicate better remotely.
In Toulouse, the Holberton School opens in May in Esquirol, to train digital pros. And the needs are enormous: it is estimated that 230,000 jobs are to be filled in France by 2025 ! “We provide a concrete response to the talent shortage in the digital sector” announces Stéphanie Metche-Serpault, the director of this new Toulouse campus.
The Holberton School was created in Silicon Valley in 2015 on the initiative of two French engineers. In France, three campuses are already installed, in Lille, Laval and Paris. The school trains computer coding pros, developers and others.
The learning takes place mostly practice, to develop websites and other programs. “These are ultra-active formations, with 95% practice” specifies the director. And at the exit, “students are operational, having worked on real-life projects“.
