The first official visit of Foreign Minister I. Kasoulidis to Athens
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulidis, is leaving for Athens tonight, who will pay the official visit, the first after his recent assumption of office.
During the visit, Mr. Kasoulidis will have a private meeting with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias, while expanded consultations will follow, in the presence of official delegations of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Following the consultations, the two ministers will make statements to the press.
According to the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the center of the discussions of Messrs. Kasoulides and Dendia are formed to find, among other things, bilateral relations and their further deepening in a wide range of sectors, the Cyprus issue, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider Middle East, multilateral cooperation, as well as other regional and European issues of common interest.
During the visit, Mr. Kasoulidis will be received in separate meetings by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Foreign Minister returns to Cyprus on the night of Wednesday, January 19.
