San Marino, Francesco Bongarrà new president of the Information Authority
Francesco Bongarrà is the new president of the Information Authority of the Republic of San Marino. His appointment was unanimously voted by the Great and General Council, the Parliament of the Republic of the Titan.
Professional journalist for 25 years, 47 years old, Sicilian, Bongarrà has been following the activities of the Italian Parliament for the Ansa Agency for twenty years. Lawyer for training, he is a lecturer in matters relating to communication and information at the MBAs of the Bayes business school and Imperial College in London, as well as the Masters in journalism at the Lumsa University of Rome. In Sicily he worked for L’Osservatore Romano and The Times, as well as directing the press office of the Municipality of Palermo for four years. For Ansa he was correspondent from London, Berlin and Buenos Aires.
Made up of five members, the San Marino Information Authority exercises in the small enclave State the functions performed in Italy by Agcom and by the National Disciplinary Council of the Order of Journalists.
