Russia is ahead of the US and China in the index of industrial production. This is stated in the analytical overview Institute for Monopoly Problems (IPEM).
The IPEM-production index in 2021 increased by 9.6 percent (in December it added 9.1 percent to the same month of 2020), the IPEM-demand index – by 3.7 percent (plus 5.2 percent) . ). Russian industrial indices are better in terms of growth dynamics than those of China, Brazil, India, the USA, Japan and Germany.
According to IPEM, oil production in 2021 increased by 2.1 percent to 523.6 million tons, but fell by 3.2 percent to 225 million tons. Export deliveries of gas increased by 3.2 percent. Demand for medium-tech also increased somewhat (for example, for ferrous and non-ferrous metals).
“Comparison of indicators of industrial production indices by countries of the world shows that the substitute for Russian industry did not manage to avoid serious failures during periods of maximum restrictions on coronavirus, but also to reach a stable growth trajectory,” said Evgeny Rudakov, Head of the Fuel and Energy Complex Research Department at IPEM.
Earlier, Russia’s natural resources ecology Alexander Koz said that the country is one of the world’s richest natural resources in terms of minerals.
