Portugal has already carried out more than 30 million tests for covid-19
Last Friday, the 14th, Portugal reached 30,074,386 million tests for covid-19, carried out since the beginning of the pandemic. As the National Institute of Health Doctor Ricardo Jorge (INSA) states in a statement released this Monday, approximately 17.7 million PCR tests it’s near 12.4 million rapid antigen tests for professional use (does not include self-tests).
On January 1 and 14 alone, “close to 3.3 million diagnostic tests for covid-19 were carried out, with a daily average of more than 233,000 tests”. So far, December was the month in which more tests were carried out: “more than 5.4 million”, “which corresponds to a daily average of more than 174 thousand tests”. As the INSA recalls, “on December 30, a new daily testing maximum, with 402,756 performed testicles”.
Each person has the right to make, free of charge, four testicles professional use antigen rapids, a month, in laboratories and pharmacists adhering to the that appear in this list of Infarmed. The measure “covers the entire population” and “intends to strengthen public health protection and control the pandemic”. According to INSA, it is in force until at least January 31st.
