Portugal elected best futsal team in the world in 2021
The Portuguese men’s futsal team won this fair the award for the best team for FutsalPlanet, compared to 2021, with Sporting winning the club award in the world, among six Portuguese victories in the awards.
The choices, announced on this day, crown the Brazilian Ferrão, from FC Barcelona, as the best player, ahead of Pany Varela, from Sporting, in the second group, and the also ‘lion’ Merlim, Italian, who was third. Erick Mendonça, another ‘green and white’ player, was fifth.
Zicky Té, received from the ‘lions’, received the award for the best youngster in the world, with the Brazilian Guitta elected the best goalkeeper and Nuno Dias receiving the award for coach of men’s teams, to complete the list of achievements for Lisbon.
The ‘lions’ are all the countries, national and international, in which they participated in 2021, while the selection, which is led by the award-winning Jorge Braz, became world champions.
Benfica’s goalkeeper Ana Catarina received the award for best goalkeeper among women’s futsal, with Janice Silva in third place for the award for best futsal player in the world, to Brazilian Amandinha, elected for the eighth time.
In the feminine, Benfica was in second place in the voting for best club, as well as the Portuguese team and its coach, Luís Conceição, while Pedro Henriques, coach of the ‘Eagles’, was third in the table of best coaches.
