The city of Monaco welcomes two marinas :

  • the Port of Fontvieille to have available 275 pitches, and it is one of the best sheltered in the region. The rock protects it from the easterly winds, and the large dyke from the southerly and westerly swells. It benefits from a magical location at the foot of the rock, in the immediate vicinity of a shopping center and numerous bars and restaurants located along the pier;
  • the Port Hercules is the only deep-water port on the Côte d’Azur. It is larger than the previous one, and offers 700 pitches.

If you arrive with your own boat, it is therefore very important to reserve your location in advance, especially for the summer period.

For the 2 ports, the price goes from:

  • 43€ per day in low season at 79€ in high season, for a boat of less than 5m ;
  • 50€ to 86€ for a boat 10 meters ;
  • 75€ to 119€ to pay 15 meters ;
  • 150€ to 200€ to pay 20 meters.

When is the best time to sail in Monaco?

In view of the mild climate all year round, and the high level of sunshine, it is good to sail in Monaco all year.

If you want to enjoy the water and swim, it is obvious that the summer period is the most favorable (and the most expensive!). Provided that you do not mind sharing the premises with many neighbors. But yours could well be Georges Clooney or Neymar!

If you prefer a little more tranquility, then choose spring.

You now have all the information you need to rent a boat in Monaco! Ready to board?
