Diallo, contacts with AC Milan are still in progress
Abdou Diallo, a 25-year-old defender who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund, is struggling to fully find his place in Paris. The player under contract until 2024 has mainly helped out as a left-back in recent months and has been used less since the return of Juan Bernat (28). He is even mentioned last among the players who could leave this winter. There has been talk of interest from West Ham, but especially from AC Milan. Except that this track seemed to be a bit off lately. But it still exists according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Italian journalist specializing in the transfer window.
Indeed, the latter mentioned this file on the sidelines of the AC Milan match this Monday evening against Spezia (1-2 defeat). He then stated that ” contacts continue to find an agreement for a loan as soon as possible”. Except that there is the idea that it should only progress very slowly since Diallo is currently playing CAN 2022 with Senegal and is therefore focused on this deadline.
Nothing is impossible, but we remain cautious as long as there is nothing concrete. This track has never been confirmed by AC Milan and nothing says that PSG will want to part with Diallo. There are not very many defenders in the squad and we are in a period where absences can accumulate particularly quickly. A loan would be a surprise, although not totally impossible. There are still other Milanese tracks in defense and it is quite possible that the rookie will finally come from this side (like Eric Bailly from Manchester United or Sven Botman from Lille). Even if there is nothing done either.
