Cologne (dpa) – The Cologne Labor Court is expected to decide on Tuesday (10.30 a.m.) a lawsuit brought by the Archbishop of Cologne’s legal advisor Rainer Maria Woelki. You had been dismissed without notice because you had taken your office chair home with you to work from home at the beginning of the corona pandemic. The lawyer is suing against the dismissal and is also demanding at least 50,000 euros in compensation for pain and suffering.
A conciliation date had brought no rapprochement between the parties. The court is now expected to make a decision on the matter. However, it is also possible that there will be a conditional decision or an evidence decision and the process will continue, said a court spokeswoman. The lawyer for the archdiocese, Wolfgang Glöckner, emphasized in a hearing last year that the office chair was an “object of potentially significant value”. The entrainment was “illegal”.
