The departure of the Perugia-Vienna flight, operated by Ryanair through Malta Air, has been postponed to June. The take-off according to what was communicated weeks ago by the company and from San Francesco was scheduled for the end of March, coinciding with the entry into force of the summer timetable. From the Ryanair site, the first flight is currently scheduled for Friday 3 June, with two weekly frequencies).
A JANUARY STOP FOR THREE ROUTES
The marches Ryanair then extended the stop, initially foreseen only for January, as regards the Perugia-London also for the whole month of February: the restart of the flight, except for further stops, is scheduled for Wednesday 2 March with four weekly frequencies . Extended stop in February also for the route to Malta, which should resume from March 4th. As for Catania, whose frequencies had been increased from three to two, the normal schedule could be returned from February 2nd. As for Palermo, on the other hand, we will talk about it again on February 2nd with three weekly frequencies.
PERUGIA-LONDON HEATHROW WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS
The confirmations Coming to the other routes, it operates from Michael O’Leary’s company, the new Perugia-Barcelona El Prat flight is currently confirmed starting from 29 March with two weekly frequencies; on the same day the connection with Brussels Charleroi will resume and the first plane will leave for Bucharest. On May 1st, however, it will be the turn of the routes to Brindisi and Cagliari. From May 26, instead, the Perugia-London will depart on Heathrow and not Stansted (further from the city center than the first) as Ryanair, while from 23 April the Perugia-Rotterdam with Transavia will take off as scheduled.

The scissoring The cutting of the routes is clearly not just about Perugia. Ryanair has scissored a sign of flights in Italy and Europe due to the restrictions imposed to contain the pandemic, which negatively impacted bookings and therefore the company’s accounts. As for the future of the San Francesco, however, the new industrial plan is expected by January, which should accompany the airport towards the goal of 500,000 passengers.
