MARSEILLE

accomplished for the takeover of Olympique de Marseille

Sugar Mizzy January 18, 2022

Are we reaching the end of the process of OM sale ? Everything would be accomplished for the redemption of theOlympic Marseille by new investors.

OM sale: The file closed and awaiting formalization?

Never in France has a football club been so talked about for its takeover by new investors. The OM sale is in the news and spans the periods, including that of the past summer transfer window as well as this winter’s transfer market. Several journalists advanced on this file before the withdrawal of some like Georges Malbrunot, just before the duo entered the scene. Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudiand Mourad Boudjellal.

Journalist specializing in football, Thibaud Vézirian had taken over and even today, the former journalist for the Team maintains his position on the future of Olympique de Marseille. For him, the OM sale is already complete and everything that is currently being put in place within this club is helping to confirm his information. The third in the Ligue 1 championship, behind the Paris SG and OGC Nice, although should go under the Saudi flag, businessmen determined to come and compete with PSG in the French championship.

Takeover of OM: Thibaud Vézirian confirms a new date

For the colleague Thibaud Vezirian , there is no doubt that the takeover of OM will take place before the end of the season. Even if the dates which had circulated at first, a year ago, had turned out to be false, next July should, according to him, act the passage of the Marseille club into other hands. This other rival of Olympique Lyonnais has become a little too rich, which seems to appear as a harbinger of an upcoming formalization of the takeover of OM, to the journalist.

This outing, which will once again keep Marseille supporters on alert, is very meaningful. Thibaud Vezirian is affirmative in his response to the question of a possible formalization of the takeover of OM by July 2022. “Yes, that seems logical”, he says before adding that it is possible that this will be “done end of the season or before”. The information is considered almost official since at the Marseille club, the truth would be known to many.

“According to the people I know internally (from Olympique de Marseille, editor’s note), or who are close to all this, they are fed up with this situation. They can’t take it anymore. They want it to be official, and that’s it, let’s move on.”, reveals Vézirian again before ending by saying: “If it’s not official, it’s because there will still be Micmacs behind that we explained. These are the joys of business.”

Sale of OM: Everything is complete for the takeover

Everything is therefore complete for the takeover of OM, according to the same source. The next patrons, unlike Frank McCourtwhich announces a limitless project, will have to strike hard to whistle the Olympian team into the very closed circle of the biggest football clubs in Europe. Many would like to mention the name of Olympique de Marseille to those of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea or even Bayern Munich. Even if the rumors of the OM sale are still denied by the current shareholder, there has been a certain silence on the subject since the arrival of Pablo Longoria as president of the club.

It should be noted that the Spanish leader, according to several sources, including English, has long been in the small papers of the leaders of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), the new owner of Newcastle United. The Saudi owners of the English club would count on Longoria in the event of the imminent formalization of the resumption of Olympique de Marseille to avoid the current galleys of their English club.

Despite the unlimited means, the English team cannot attract the big players. In the case of the only French club to win a UEFA Champions League, the presence of Longoria, who could be renewed in his responsibilities after the formalization of the sale of the club, will facilitate the poaching of strong heads to support the club. To compete with teams like PSG, the future Marseille team must be able to recruit in attack, midfield and defense without looking at the expense.
