The Edenauto family group buys Renault branches in Toulouse
The family group from Pau, which distributes up to 47,000 cars a year in a large South-West quarter, has bought Renault’s points of sale in Toulouse. The move of the historic site to Avenue des Etats-Unis is planned.
It is a major operation that has just completed the Edenauto group by buying the Toulouse branches of the Renault manufacturer. The automobile distributor present in a very large quarter of South-West* France has just acquired the offices of Renault Retail Group located on avenue des Etats-Unis, on the western ring road and its two other addresses in Toulouse Montaudran and Muret. There is also the site of Castelnau-d’Estrétefonds. All these Renault locations in Toulouse represent a volume of 10,000 new vehicles (+ 5,000 used cars) per year, including the Dacia and Alpine brands. Figures which will therefore be added to the 37,000 new sales made by Edenauto in a year excluding Covid (+36,000 used vehicles). The family group whose headquarters are based in Pau did not reveal the amount of the transaction but confirms the takeover of all 429 Toulouse employees. Edenauto now employs 2,700 people for an expected turnover of 1.4 billion euros in 2022.
Moving from United States Avenue
Edenauto is the sixth French automobile distribution group and the 30th European. “We will duplicate in Toulouse, a market we already know, the recipes for our success: give autonomy to our concessions with a director who will have the latitude to focus on customer relations by attaching great respect to the human person says Eric Stierlen, CEO of Edenauto. The group, which distributes a total of 17 different car brands (Renault, BMW, Kia, Nissan, Peugeot, etc.), is already present in Toulouse and Muret with the Toyota and Lexus brands. Eden Auto wants to sell the location of the avenue des Etats-Unis concession, which dates from 1957, to move in close to a ring road by 2024. “We no longer intend to be in town and will sell the site where accommodation will be integrated,” announces Eric Stierlen.
On the other hand, the west ring road concession at Mirail will be extended and extensively redeveloped. In order to support this dynamic, Eden Autos is recruiting for its workshops (mechanics, bodybuilders, etc.) but also for support functions (accounting, etc.).
