For the service you pay a flat fee determined according to the zone you travel to, from 40 crowns in the territory of the seventh city district to a hundred crowns for a trip to the outskirts of the city. One accompanying person will have a free trip. The taxi runs daily from 08:00 to 15:00. City Hall spokesman Martin Vokuš told ČTK. The town hall cooperates with Caritas Holešovice in the operation of the taxi.
“We are starting a trial regime in which we focus on helping seniors over the age of 75, people with disabilities or neighbors who are, for example, after surgery and have temporarily impaired mobility. We will continuously evaluate the operation of this service and, if necessary, adjust it on the basis of practical experience, “said Councilor Jakob Hurrle (Prague 7 Sobě).
People will pay CZK 40 for a one-way trip through the territory of Prague 7. If you want to go to some of the inner city districts, ie to Prague 1 to 10 and to Troja, you will pay CZK 60. The price to the remaining city districts is then set at one hundred crowns. Those interested in transport can order the vehicle directly from the driver on the telephone number 775 550 847.
Taxis for the elderly and disabled are also operated by other Prague town halls. For example, a senior taxi has been running in Prague 11 since last March. In Prague 1, seniors and the disabled can be accompanied by social workers from the Center for Social Services in Prague 1, and social services are also offered by the social organization of Prague 12.
The subsidized transport service intended for seniors and holders of ZTP or ZTP / P cards also operates in other cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic. For example, in Pardubice they have a Senior taxi since mid-2018.
