The film “Don’t look up”, (“Do not look” in French) panics all the counters on Netflix. Opponents of the A69 would like to stop the countdown of the Castres-Toulouse motorway. The “Cosmic Denial” of the film becomes the “Tarnish Denial”. Humor.
A humorous video on the networks to attract attention and defend their cause, this is what the opponents of the future A69 depending on Castres in Toulouse have chosen.
The collective “The way is free” takes over the trailer of Adam McKay’s film “Don’t look up”, “Ne looked at!”. The hit movie streaming only on the Netflix platform tells the story of dthem poor astronomers who embark on a gigantic media tour to warn humanity that a comet is heading towards the Earth and preparing to destroy it. They come up against the indifference, contempt and disbelief of the leaders and a party of the population.
This cosmic “Denial” with the sauce of the collective “The way is free” becomes the “Denial Tarnais”. In this new summary, “the fight is intensifying against the A69 project. While elected officials are ostriching and giving in to private lobbies, the collectives will go to the end to bury this totally useless and destructive motorway project. If the decision-makers du Tarn refuse to look reality in the face, the citizens will open their eyes to defend responsible development of the territory”.
Often comical and rather well done, the trailer ironically conveys the messages of the opponents:
- “Elected officials have an obsession: to build a useless highway”. “For the moment I propose that we pave the way and that we advise” launches the president
- And Leonardo di Caprio panicked: “There are only 5,000 cars making the trip every day and they want to make a highway?!”
- The tv presenter questions the 2 heroes who went on the run against the project: “Why are you resistant to progress? Do you really want to ride in a horse-drawn carriage?”
- And the co-presenter concludes: “This woman does not seem used to political decisions in the Tarn”.
Rather scathing replies to prove that the collective occupies the field and the screens. In conclusion, he wishes politicians a great career…in Hollywood!
The contract with the chosen concessionaire (the French public works group NGE) must be signed in June and the commissioning of the motorway is still planned for 2025. The project appears to cost 480M € and should start in mid-2023 according to the announced schedule. by Jean Castex during his visit to the Tarn on September 25, 2021 to launch this project.
As is now the fashion, a “Mr. Autoroute” has been appointed by the government, as there was recently a “Mr. Bear” or even a “Mr. SAM”. Maxime-Yasser Abdoulhoussen has been appointed director of
project with the Prefect of Tarn by order of the Prime Minister and the Minister of
the Interior of November 4, 2021.
This native of Madagascar, from a family of traders for several generations, is charged the enhancement of the future A69 in terms of regional economic development. This former enarque engineer in public works has become a senior civil servant.
To his credit, several interministerial meetings as head of the strategy office at the Ministry of Ecology and then as project manager in the Prime Minister’s office.
