Kaag reports Brussels arrival recovery plan for the summer

Minister Sigrid Kaag (Finance) has reported European Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni (Economics) that the Netherlands will submit the long-awaited recovery plan before the summer. During an introductory meeting with Gentiloni, she assured the Italian that the work is progressing. The plan, with almost 6 billion euros in subsidies for the Netherlands, will be published in the context of the House of Representatives, has been completed, the minister said on arrival for her first meeting with the Europeans in Brussels.
The Netherlands is the only one of the 27 EU outcomes that has not yet sent an application for money from the European corona recovery fund to Brussels. The extensive support program should help the countries absorb the economic and social damage caused by the corona crisis, and is the basis for economic reforms that should make the countries resilient.
There is almost 700 billion euros in grants and available available, which are distributed through a single key. It has been agreed that ten at least 37 percent of the money will be spent on climate measures, and 20 percent on digitization.
The European Commission now has the first billions to pre-finance projects.
