GAK brings Felix Köchl from league competitor Wacker Innsbruck
Graz secure the services of midfielder Felix Köchl. It was agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.

As announced by both clubs in their broadcasts, Felix Köchl is moving from Wacker Innsbruck to Grazer AK in the 2nd division with immediate effect. The 19-year-old comes from the youth of SV Mieders. He made the jump to FC Wacker Innsbruck via AKA Tirol. There he initially played in the second team before becoming an integral part of the professional department of the traditional Tyrolean club from 2019. Overall, Köchl completed 30 second division games and seven ÖFB Cup games for the club.
Sporting director Dieter Elsneg from Graz explains the commitment of the defender: “Felix has shown in his previous second division appearances that he is a consistent, prudent full-back. With him, we will continue on our path of retaining highly talented young footballers at our club.”
Köchl is happy and says thank you
After Lukas Fridrikas and Okan Aydin, the Tyroleans have to cope with their third exit this winter. Sports Director Alfred Hörtnagl says: “Felix approached us and wanted to take on a new sporting challenge. He made the leap to becoming a professional with us and was able to gain important experience for his future. We wish him everything for his next step Good luck and much success!“
After three and a half years at Wacker, his journey is now continuing. Finally, the 19-year-old club would like to say thank you for the great time. I was able to take my first steps in professional football here and take a lot of experience with me. A big thank you also to all the coaches, supervisors and teammates with whom I have been with in the past. FC Wacker Innsbruck will definitely always remain in my heart.”
A new challenge is now beginning for him at GAK, which he is very much looking forward to and is approaching his new sporting task full of energy: “I’m looking forward to giving full throttle for GAK in the coming years and with the GAK fans if possible Lots of victories to celebrate”. Köchl has already completed his first session with the new team. His contract runs until the summer of 2023 with an option to extend it by another year. It was agreed not to disclose the fee.
