Customs: fake soccer shoes discovered at the Venice – Veneto airport

(ANSA) – VENICE, 17 JAN – Football shoes and other items with fake fashion ‘brands’ have been discovered and seized by the officials of the Excise, Customs and Monopoly Agency of Venice at the Marco Polo airport of Tessera, in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza, in two control operations on air courier shipments.

The two shipments came from China and Turkey; in all, more than 50 pairs of soccer and sports shoes were discovered, complete with boxes and protective fabric bags; 153 hats; 60 belts and a backpack with a fabric bag, a wallet with a box and a bag with a fabric bag not made by brand owners or licensees.

The goods, which carried the well-known brands, were destined for citizens residing in the Italian territory and were placed under seizure. Importers were sued for introducing into the state and trading in products with fake markings. (HANDLE).
