A cry of agony for 6-year-old Raphael who lives in miserable conditions

An appeal for help through GRTimes.gr the family of little Rafael from Polichni, Thessaloniki, who needs to undergo a fourth heart surgery. The family is in a bad financial situation and their living is in miserable conditions.

Little Raphael is six years old and lives in Polichni, Thessaloniki. He has to carry another balloon to stay in good health. Specifically, for 18 days he developed a fever and a heart problem. Since then, as his mother points out to GRTimes.gr, he has made three balloons along with cardiac catheterization.

However, there is a high probability that he will have open heart surgery by the end of 12 years, according to the family doctors. “Our situation is very difficult. Financially, we make ends meet. We want about 4,000 euros for each balloon, because there is no insurance. There is a possibility that we will be left without water and electricity, because we can not pay the bills. “Raphael wants a respectable amount for his diet every week, because he has to put on weight in order to stay well in his health… something that does not happen”, the mother of the 6-year-old emphasizes to GRTimes.gr

According to Maria (Raphael’s mother), six months ago she was once again on the spot with cauterization. “We took another five centimeters, but he wants work, patience and money. The first balloon failed when he was a baby, then the second and third succeeded, but we are afraid of open heart surgery. He does not gain weight, has shortness of breath and gets tired easily. The doctors told us that this problem occurs in 1/10 of children “.

I am also looking for a job. “My husband finally found it two days ago and we are slowly trying to see the most positive things.”
