ROUEN

Ice hockey: Magnus League – Magnus League: 38th day: Rouen vs Mulhouse – LM: Rouen, A defeat that raises questions

Sugar Mizzy January 16, 2022

The fifteen minutes late, sharpened the warrior spirits since from the opening of the game and 14 seconds Moronne is already called upon twice on a shot from Guimond then on a shot from the blue of Chakiachvili whose rebound surprises Vigners who yet had corn open in front of him.

Three minutes later and this time it was the Hecquefeuille Loizeau trio who, on a quick counter, made the stands shiver. The fast game goes from one goal to another, with Gueurif who in turn just misses the way to the goal, but the goalkeeper from Mulhouse is very attentive.
A first qualification against Mulhouse, allows Rouen to rotate its Special Units. but the entrances to areas that are too feverish prevent offering goalscoring opportunities.
A second penalty is again whistled by the zebras against Mulhouse with once again no solutions in front of goal. Only Chakiachvili will attempt a shot from the blue that the goalkeeper blocks with a beautiful mitten. Worse when Pintaric avoided the return to equality, the dragons were countered with a pass which landed in the palette of the player from Mulhouse leaving prison. The latter, supported by the attackers, finds himself three against one in front of Pintaric’s goal.
The Rouen goalkeeper pushes back Norton’s powerful shot, but lying down sees the puck taken over by Pietroniro, who launched, propels the puck under the crossbar… unstoppable (11.11 / 0 – 1 / Pietroniro ass Norton and Jorik).

Rouen, which until then had led the debates, found itself caught cold and commented on an error on Hecquefeuille. It’s up to the scorpions to find themselves this time in superiority. And go via Labelle, at 2and post try to take off by sliding the puck along the post, but the goal Normand closes his cage.
A shot from the blue of 4 will not surprise Pintaric any more. Then Hecquefeuille catches the Norman defense, but cannot materialize its advantage against the goal of Rouen.
The Rouennais stung to the quick reply. On an entrance zone from Lampérier the pass is for Tessier who does not ask himself any question in shooting at the cage. The puck is deflected in the nose and beard of the opposing goal (14.17 – 1 -1 / Guimond ass Tessier and Lampérier).

The last five minutes will be like this first third… A dragon who met the pressure, has the most puck, but who ultimately does not make the difference.

An ineffectual dragon

Despite a slightly more dashing entry on the ice from the Rouennais who regained possession of the opposing field, the lack of shots on target was still so cruelly felt.

Failing to shine in attack, the Dragons try individualities and quick attacks, but in this game it is the Scorpions who are the sharpest with the Mugnier Loizeau duo still as explosive.
Their desire to overtake the Norman rearguard is reflected in a sequence where they go more often to the cage, and therefore more attempts to shoot.
It was not until mid-match, on a pass from Gilbert behind the goal to Bedin that Moronne was put in difficulty, but finally managed to freeze the puck. Shortly after, in solo, Johnson attempted a duel (loser) against the Cerberus.
The Rouennais will chain two penalties in quick succession and lose an attacker (ten minutes of penalty) which will affect their ability to take control of the match.
Only the last two minutes of this third will be limited to a concentration of spearmen from the Norman artillerymen, without their outline of energy being rewarded.

Rouen disillusions.

Once again, the start of the third is cruel for the Rouennais. By wanting to go too fast on the opposing cage, they forget the basics of possession of the palette… Keep it.
And Mulhouse with his rapid strike force once again takes on heavy-legged dragons in speed.
Once again in a supernumerary situation, the scorpions force Pintaric to leave the rebound on the first shot (from Perrefond) for Esipov who finds the nets up close. (41.17 / 1 – 2 / Esipov ass Perrefond and Haimovici).

The Rouennais retaliate, still can’t manage to frame their shots, even being caught by the patrol.
The Play Rouen killer holds the barracks against Mulhouse who is penalized a few seconds before the end of his superiority by the zebras (45 ‘).

This defeat will turn to the advantage of the Rouennais who, thanks to a shot from Chakiachvili, find the deviation in front of the goal of Vigners at the big dam of Moronne which until then had managed to thwart the Norman attempts (46.15 / 2 – 2 / Vigners donkey Chakiashvili and Gilbert).

Taking advantage of this moment of grace, the Rouennais did it again barely three minutes later, with another shot towards Chakiashvili’s cage.
The goalkeeper pushes back the shot from the boot, but Lampérier, posted in front of the goal, recovers the puck, and after having pivoted on himself, takes speed from the goalkeeper to slide the puck into the bottom of the goal. (48.51 / 3 – 2 / Chakiashvili and Tomasino Donkey Lamper)

While the dragon finally seemed to have managed to get rid of this nightmarish match and they were no longer chasing the score, once again their opponent overtook them and on yet another overflow to create a goal opportunity.
Lessard at the origin of the attack makes a pass from the right side towards Pistilli who rushes on the side of the goal of Rouen transplants in the center before making a back pass towards Morton who arrived launched, leaves no chance to Pintaric (51.18 / 3 – 3 / Morton ass Pistilli and Lessard).

On closes the benches.

Barely the whistle of this extension that it will be quickly concluded. Jurik pockets the engagement, makes a pass to Hecquefeuille, while in ice fox, Pistilli is forgotten by his opponent, along the boards on the side of the players’ bench, before transplanting in the center and recovering the pass all in length of Hecquefeuille, left free of its movements by frozen dragons.
Pintaric can’t do everything, and loses this duel. (60.12 / 3 – 4 / Pistilli cul Hecquefeuille and Jurik)

A few days before a very important meeting against the leader and the designated favorite of this season, Grenoble, the Dragon does not seem to be showing the most reassuring signs for its supporters. As well in attack, defense, as on superiority… they showed a current level totally different from that during the CHL. Is it burnout? or a period in the hard following the sequences? the result of this match, with an opponent who the day before had met Amiens, and therefore a priori should not have been in Olympic form, raises questions. The absence of three players (Guttig, Nesa, Cantagallo) does not explain everything…
