While Angers took the best of Nice, Rouen fell on its ice against Mulhouse when Chamonix won against Bordeaux.
Rouen continues to alternate the good and the less good. The Dragons have, in fact, fallen on their icy side to the penultimate of the Magnus League classification, Mulhouse. While Phil Pietroniro opened the score after just over ten minutes for the Scorpions, the Rouennais equalized through Sacha Guimond three minutes later. The score remained maintained until the start of the last period, when Ivan Esipov put Mulhouse back in front of the space of five minutes, Rolands Vigners putting the two teams up at the start of the last quarter of an hour. Loïc Lampérier, a little less than 180 seconds later, then allowed the Dragons to pass in front of the score in this meeting. It was without counting on Shawn Morton Boutin who, at the start of the last ten minutes, sent the two teams into overtime. An additional period which will have lasted… twelve seconds, the time it took Matthew Pistilli to give victory to the Scorpions (3-4 after), who gave up the red lantern to Briançon for two points.
Chamonix confirms, Angers dominates Nice
Chamonix, for its part, confirms having found colors. Traveling to Bordeaux, the Pioneers signed a second victory in a row, which had not happened to them since the end of last October. Kévin Spinozzi however opened the score for the Boxers but Fabien Kazarine and Christian Silfver allowed Chamonix to take the lead at the end of the first period. But Kévin Spinozzi went there with his double 25 seconds after the restart to equalize then, 24 seconds later, Loik Poudrier allowed Bordeaux to go back in front. The meeting was played at the end of the second period with Joakim Lilliehook then Phil Marinaccio allowing the Pioneers to win (3-4). If Rouen fell, Angers took the opportunity to widen the gap to second place in the standings. Indeed, the Dukes won in Nice despite a complicated start to the match. While Lucas Bonnardel opened the score for the Eagles, Danick Bouchard then Zachary Torquato reversed the trend before the end of the first period. Shortly before the half hour mark, Philippe Halley sealed the fate of the match. With this victory (1-3), Angers take nine points ahead of Rouen, which however has four games less.
