Designers Miguel Vieira and David Catalán open the year 2022 of Portuguese fashion with shows and presentations, this Monday, in the official calendar of Italian fashion week, in Milan, Italy, announced the organization.

The first international fashion show of Portugal Fashion in 2022 is in charge of designer David Catalán and will take place in person at 11:00 am (10:00 am in Lisbon) at Padiglioni Visconti, Via Tortona 58.

David Catalán’s collection was inspired by “British school uniforms of the 60s and 70s” and the “versatility and comfort of the English dress code”, reads the press release sent to the Lusa agency.

“The idea was to work on the construction of beauty, presenting a bit of roughness, with the use of denim, creating more utilitarian clothes”, explains the creator.

Miguel Viera’s fashion show is scheduled for Monday at 12pm local time (11am in Lisbon) at Padiglioni Visconti, Via Tortona 58, and also takes place in physical format.

Vieira’s collection will reveal “classic tailoring pieces that combine, graphic or more organic patterns in shirts”, such as ties and accessories. The fabrics are “rich in textures” or with “technical treatments”, explains the “designer”.

With the new year, Portugal Fashion also considered a new concept, which combines, for the fashion shows and presentations, one will also be presented this coming Monday, 17th, at Studio Zeta, in Via Friuli, from 15:30 to 19:00 , local time (14:30-18:00 in Lisbon), and where international buyers will join the two designers.

The journey of Portuguese fashion across borders will advance next Wednesday, the 19th, at fashion week in Paris (France), with the duo Ernest W. Baker presenting their collection, in a composite format.

The show by the duo Ernest W. Baker is scheduled from 10:30 to 14:00, local time (09:30 to 13:00 in Lisbon), at the Palais de Tokyo, and will be presented digitally on the French fashion week platform at 12:30 pm (11:30 am in Lisbon).

The new Ernest W. Baker collection stands out for the “structure and details of timeless tailoring”, but will also have embroideries with finishes in artisanal processes, keeping the set of the rose, which simultaneously represents “strength and table”, describe the ” Designers”.

Portugal Fashion is one of the responsibility of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs Project, which has the support of its strategic partners for Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 – Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, with funds from the European Union, through of the European Regional Development Fund.
