Wacker Innsbruck professional Stefan Pribanovic has agreed with his previous regular club to terminate the contract. As the Tyroleans announce, the 24-year-old defender is drawn to a German regional league team. His new club will communicate exactly which club the central defender will end up with. “As a long-time player in our club, we naturally wish Stefan (Note: Pribanovic) only the best for the future, especially after the return of Stefan Meusburger, with a broad range of personnel and thus enabling Stefan Pribanovic to move to Germany,” says Sport Board member Alfred Hörtnagl Taking leave.
Ten years ago, Pribanovic switched to the U15s at the Tirol Academy and joined Innsbruck’s second team in the summer of 2015, which he also led onto the pitch as captain. He made a total of five appearances for the Tyrolean professional team, in the current season he has played in two league games and in the first two rounds of the ÖFB Cup.
“It was six years at FC Wacker with lots of ups and downs. In the end I decided to accept the opportunity in Germany and would like to take my next sporting step there. At FC Wacker Innsbruck I would like to thank all the fans, teammates, coaches and supervisors for the time together. I can always imagine returning to my home club at some point,” says Pribanovic.
