Glitnor Services joins Sweden’s BOS
Glitnor Services has become the newest member of the Swedish Industry Association for Online Gaming (BOS).
The iGaming company, which is licensed in Sweden where it operates under the Lucky Casino brand, will take its place together with other operators previously selected for BOS, including Entain, Flutter, Betway and Pinnacle.
The industry organization represents gaming companies and game developers that target Swedish consumers. Holding a license is a prerequisite for access for its B2C members, which the organization claims “guarantees high quality and responsibility.”
Glitnor’s CEO David Flynn commented: “Sweden is an important and growing market for us and the step to membership in BOS is therefore natural.
“We want to operate in a gaming market that succeeds in safeguarding its licensing system and in this way offers safe gaming, but also fair conditions of competition between licensed gaming companies.
“We believe that BOS can contribute to such a development and are happy to now be a part of the community there.”
William Hill, Kindred, Betsson, Bet365, LeoVegas and Microgaming are the board members of the industry association.
The organization is active in Swedish politics, especially when it comes to sustainable gambling measures. Most recently, the trade association submitted its opinion on a state-initiated investigation into match-fixing and unlicensed gaming activities.
BOS Secretary General Gustaf Hoffstedt welcomed Glitnor on board and said: “It is with great joy and confidence that we welcome Glitnor to the BOS family.
“Together with Glitnor and all other member companies, it is our goal to contribute to a gaming market in Sweden that is characterized by the highest level of both consumer protection and gaming joy.
“We know that Glitnor has a lot of expertise in responsible gaming and look forward to their contribution to the work of achieving our ambitions in that area.”
