Brussels will take climate lessons in the classroom, EU administration is not about education at all: ‘Propaganda’ | Inland
“All students need opportunities from an early age to understand sustainability and take action to protect our planet and our future,” said Bulgarian Youth Commissioner Mariya Gabriel.
The desire to make the themes of climate, biodiversity and sustainability resound more strongly in the classroom is somewhat striking: Brussels is not about education policy. That is also the reason why the daily EU administration does not come up with an original one. Brussels does make a proposal for a ‘recommendation’. As ministers of education implementation, they are going to get started with the green themes in education.
‘Propaganda’
Rob Roos of JA21 is extremely critical of the proposal: “This performance from Brussels is more than political ideology and nothing propaganda to push in our direction.”
The politician is happy with European affairs and believes that education should not be left to us. Roos: “If we want to organize a better world, we have to think critically, make our children resilient and, above all, teach science subjects such as mathematics, physics and chemistry. That gives real tools for solving problems.”
