Annecy. He steals a vehicle under duress: one year in prison
On September 22 in Seynod (commune of Annecy), a man stole, under duress, a private car’s car before fleeing. In the hours and weeks following the extortionate theft, the man in the car and in a second vehicle refused to comply, on several occasions, in Annecy. He managed to leave company with the gendarmerie, the police and the customs, before being caught up in the south of France on January 9.
Placed in custody on January 11 by the Annecy gendarmerie in charge of the investigation, he answered the facts before the Annecy judicial court, as part of the immediate comparison. The 30-year-old was sentenced to one year in prison, including 6 months suspended sentence and to a cancellation of his driving license with ban on ironing before one year. Warrant of committal was issued at the hearing. In addition, he will have to compensate the owner of the vehicle up to 1,500 euros for moral damage.
