Transfer market Naples, hunting on the left outside: Olivera and Reinildo on pole

Sugar Mizzy January 13, 2022

With Ghoulam destined not to renew, the club is moving for a replacement: the Uruguayan of a Getafe in full crisis is now a goal as possible, but for the Lille talent the road is still open

Eighteen days, in which Napoli will try once again left to solve the problem of the winger. This is Cristiano Giuntoli’s goal for the second part of the winter market. Although Spalletti has been able to ascertain the good conditions of Ghoulam in the last few outings, the player’s destiny now seems to be sealed: in the expiration of the contract, in all probability he will not renew. He perceives an important signing that the club, considering his fragility and age (he will turn 31 on 1 February), does not want to continue to pay him. So also in this session the search for a graft in the role proceeds. A younger profile, so you can also invest in the future.

RETURN OF FLAME FOR OLIVERA

–

The name of Mathias Olivera, a Uruguayan born in 1997 and owned by Getafe, has recently returned to topicality. The Napoli sporting director had already collected information last summer, as an alternative to Emerson Palmieri. Giuntoli had aimed at the winger after the Europeans, but no agreement was reached for the transfer and the player moved to Lyon. Thus, the Spaniards had been offered a loan with the right of redemption, a formula which, however, was not appreciated; the valuation at the time was between 15 and 18 million euros. The pressures of Olivera’s entourage have not served to change Getafe’s mind, which considers it a central element of the project. Six months after the past season has not changed too much except for the classification, an improvement compared to last season: Quique Sanchez Flores’ team has only one point ahead of the relegation zone. This could be a decisive factor because this time the request for the transfer of the manager would be more grounded. However, it will depend on Napoli’s willingness to spend immediately, which for the moment prefers to wait for the end of the championship.

EYES ON REINILDO

–

The Reinildo option always remains concrete. Again, an official offer is more likely in June, when the contract that binds him to Lille has expired. Relations between the two companies are excellent after the Malcuit and Osimhen operations, but the French demand for 7-8 million was deemed too high for an expiring player who has no plans to renew. In any case, we must take into account the competition from Lazio, which has even more need for a left winger since so far they have adapted Hysaj and Marusic who are right-handed in that position.

AFTER INSIGNE

–

On the other hand, it is not to be expected that Napoli are already looking for a replacement for Insigne. The captain, who will wear the Toronto Fc shirt from next summer, will finish the season in blue and the club believes it is above all covered, at least from a numerical point of view with Lozano, Politano, Ounas and Elmas. However, the discussion will be postponed to a good season, when it will be possible to better outline the strategies for the next year together with Spalletti.
