Russian Product filed a lawsuit over Kaluga river
The prosecutor’s office of the Kaluga region confirmed the violation of environmental legislation by JSC “Russian Product” when dumping waste into the Putynka River near the village of Detchino, Maloyaroslavets District. Vladimir Kondakov, head of the working group on the development of public control in the field of protection of environmental standards under the expert council of public chambers, reports on this on his Vkontakte page.
“The prosecutor’s office found that the treatment facilities of JSC “Russian Product” do not comply with the proper treatment of pollutants in wastewater to safe environmental legislation, and therefore need to be reconstructed.“, – writes Kondakov.
In addition, the document addressed to Kondakov happens by the prosecutor’s office, it is said that the department established the fact of the inaction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kaluga Region in the established amount found in the environment. In this regard, the environmental prosecutor’s office was at the disposal of the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kaluga Region, Vladimir Zhip.
In addition, the document notes that in December 2021, the Ministry of Natural Resources filed a lawsuit against Russian Product JSC in court with a claim for damages. And to assess the actions of the enterprise from the point of view of the presence of punishable acts of the prosecutor’s office in the criminal prosecution, an appeal was sent to the OMVD of Russia.
