Cheval Passion ready to set off at the Avignon exhibition center
Equipment semi-trailers, scaffolding, boxes loaded with electric cables and projectors, tons of cables to be displayed in buildings: the countdown has started at the Avignon exhibition center a few days before the opening of the 36th Cheval Passion equestrian festival. It will take place from January 19 to 23.
6 Galas des Crinières d’Or instead of 5
Canceled in January 2021 and then again last May because of the Covid 19 pandemic, it is the festival of all hopes, all expectations for 90,000 visitors expected and the 800 registered exhibitors. “This time it’s the right one“slips a smiling technician securing projectors for the lighting of the famous Gala des maninières d’or, under the sign of” the magic of the equestrian arts. “
Priority to the health security of all
However, there is no question of pretending that the pandemic is not galloping in Vaucluse, where the incidence rate has exploded since the beginning of January. The Prefect of Vaucluse has also set conditions for the holding of the event: capacity limited to 2000 spectators maximum for the Gala des Crinières d’Or; compulsory health pass to be able to enter the enclosure of the show; wearing a mask for all; physical distancing, seated catering only and possibility of Covid tests on site. The organizers of Cheval Passion ensure that the defined rules will be respected throughout the event.
6.5 million euros in economic benefits
For this reunion in the form of “resistance” as highlighted by Dominique Santoni, the president of the Department, Cheval Passion has prepared a program exceptional entertainment and shows. Particular emphasis will be placed on young audiences, on the professionalization of the equestrian show business and on the development of the horse-related economy in Vaucluse as in the rest of the Region. Let the party begin !
