Bimba di Villesse operated in Genoa More than 10 thousand euros collected and donated
The little girl has a malformation in her legs. The funds are used by the family for assistance
History
Marco Silvestri / Villesse
A 4-year-old girl from Villesse suffering from a very serious leg malformation will be operated on today at the Gaslini Pediatric Institute in Genoa. The hope is that, after this surgery, dreams of walking and living a normal life can finally come true for her.
A real humanitarian chain was born for the little girl and her family. The little sister was born with a severe motor disability. The father works part-time, the mother does not work to always be close to the daughters. Thus was born a race for solidarity with the collection of funds through the association “Amis dal Disu” of Gonars. Donations exceeded 10 thousand euros.
The surgery is free but the resources will be used to guarantee the expected expenses (travel, treatment, assistance, specialist visits and so on). The territory, not just the Villessino one, has responded to this solidarity initiative: organizations, associations, common people, parishes, schools, no one has pulled back to help the little girl from Villesse.
The child is accompanied by her father Mohamed on this journey of hope. Before leaving for Genoa, the father received a warm hug from the community and was also greeted by the management and teachers in a meeting held at the Villesse nursery school.
Present were the presidency of the comprehensive Celso Macor institute Donatella Gironcoli and the teacher Jessica Mattina, contact person for social inclusion. Mohamed thanked all the people who contributed to his family with donations and affection. A special thanks to Asugi’s physiotherapist Cristina Cocianni who follows the little girl with love and to the volunteers of the Gradiscan Green Cross for the ambulance trip.
The operation takes a long time but there is confidence that things can go in the best way. “We are all close to the child and her family – say the principal and the teacher – and in this affair the school has mobilized and truly feels part of a supportive community that does not want to leave anyone behind”. –
