Russian diplomat delivered an ultimatum to the United States: “We have nowhere to go from the beginning.”
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov strictly responded to the State Department’s accusation that Russia is solely responsible for unleashing politics in Ukraine, urging Washington to stop “in the policy of encouraging fascist thugs.” The Russian diplomat delivered an ultimatum to the United States, stressing that NATO is already at the borders of Russia and “we have nowhere to retreat.”
Anatoly Antonov, commenting on the statement of the Secretary of State Victoria Nuland that Russia is solely responsible for unleashing the crisis in Ukraine.
The full answer is provided on the diplomacy Facebook page. At a meeting with the Russian diplomat, he recalled that today, January 12, we will be in the framework of the Russia-NATO Council. And Moscow is disposed to “substantive discussion of Russian documents, which must be adopted as soon as possible for the situation in Europe.”
But the accusatory rhetoric of high-ranking officials of the State Department (and Nuland in particular) is against, there was no talk of any constructiveness in the upcoming negotiations. Moscow, on the other hand, expects non-demagogic statements, written answers to its manifestations.
Antonov emphasizes that Russia needs “concrete actions by the Ministry of Defense, and not disinformation and accusations of all sins.”
The US diplomat makes an ultimatum demand: “It is time to stop controlling the encouragement of the fascist thugs who are marching in Kiev.” Antonov emphasizes that Russia is advocating a relaxation of tensions, and then “we have nowhere to go.” The diplomat reminds Washington that it is NATO that has crept up to the borders, and “is trying to dominate not only the arid, but also the seas and islands.”
However, Russia will not allow a development situation in which its sovereignty would be undermined.
Antonov suggested that the United States, from the aggressive rhetoric of foreign policy expansion, “respect your neighbor, not threaten and move your military potential away from the Russian borders.”
