FFP2 mask compulsory soon in the car and in apartment buildings
Hanover. In the Hanover region, a stricter mask requirement will apply in the future. From Friday, when & in a car, with the exception of the driver, all persons wear an FFP2 mask when two households or more are out and about together. The rules, which the region published in a general decree on Wednesday, will initially apply until February 10th.
An FFP2 mask must also be worn in canteens and cafeterias from Friday, except when eating or drinking. Cashiers in supermarkets are also affected by the tightening: They too have to wear an FFP2 mask.
The same is gilded in hallways and stairwells of apartment buildings that consist of more than four residential units. The FFP2 mask requirement applies there in all areas that are accessible to every resident – such as communal laundry rooms and bicycle sheds. The measures are justified with the spread of the Omikron variant.
